[REVIEW] GORGON PROJECT LPG PLANT - HYUNDAI HEAVY INDUSTRIES

Extracting valuable resource is important business to maintain and advance the civilization. In this point of view, the fossil fuel stores concentrated solar energy, and the human uses it to get the compressed energy which can be extracted in a short period with magnified power.

LPG plant is the facility to refine and store the gas. Ground-based plant can be built at the lower budget, than the offshore LPG plant in many points. Hyundai Heavy Industries Co., Ltd. (HHI) applied offshore plant technology to Ground-based plant, and won Gorgon LPG PLANT PROJECT which is the biggest single project in HHI's history. Gorgon project site is located at Barrow Island, the northwest shore of Australia.

This project is operated by Chevron and ExxonMobil, and it consists of 48 Plant modules weighing 190,000 tons, and is expected to be delivered until 2013 by HHI. LPG Plant Module technolgy was originally applied for HHI's Offshore Plant, but it is firstly applied to Gound-based plant, for this technology greatly reduce field labor works, and lower the cost while acquiring better quality by standardized procedures in factory environment. This NEW innovation of cell fabrication technology of HHI broke the world record of SOLAR conversion efficiency. This breaking technology includes standard 156 mm commercial-grade p-type silicon wafers. HHI's Chief officer in Green Energy division said, "The new cell technology is important advance in semiconductor photovoltaic products which enables low manufacturing cost for higher performance."

HHI is constructing new research and development center in Eumsung, South Korea, which is located beside of 600 megawatt silicon cell and module production factories. HHI is setting up the hightech test equipments to maintain the world's first performance in solar cell efficiency. HHI is ranked at first position in the manufactured amount of solar cell and modules.

[REVIEW] NAVER - KOREAN PORTAL AND SEARCH ENGINE

NAVER is the internet portal service company which covers very broad commercial fields, including advertisement, shopping, internet phone, classified postings, email, blog, and game, news service. (photo from naver.com)

Here I want to describe what kind of influence NAVER's service gave to my life since I started to use internet for job, study, entertainment and communication.

The most frequent service I use with NAVER is email service. This service has evolved since the year 2000, and now I want to believe the functions of this email system is close to the world's best. I tried the email system of many famous international portal, but NAVER provides most time-saving tools to manage emails and classify them. NAVER integrated email system with CONTACT management system and user can send notification SMS immediate after he sends email. 

The most important protection of NAVER's service to remember is high level of security protection. IP hijacking is the hacking method that steals the IP of victims who logged in the portals, and uses this logged-in ID to pick the privacy information or get the emails, even without need to acquire his password. Also when illegal login trial happens, it blocks IPs or it requests verification by phone SMS. If IP address is changed during user's activity in the NAVER' service, the system asks the password again to kick out the IP hijackers.

The most benefitted service of NAVER was classified posting service, called CAFE. This cafe is membership based posting service. I mainly used this classified posting service for short-term project contract searching, and to sell my new or used items. Surely I made quite money from these classified service, by contracting projects, selling items and comparing prices.

The most useful tools of NAVER were the language dictionary service. It is most monumental works of NAVER, because such methods greatly changed the method to learn language fastest ever in the history. In English dictionary, it updates most newly made terms every day. So if I cannot find a new term in English news service from traditional dictionary, I should search in NAVER English dictionary. Another impressive works of NAVER dictionary is Japanese dictionary which I got much help to enhance the understanding for Japanese language. Chinese dictionary, German dictionary and Russian dictionary is also quite useful to study those languages. Also NAVER started to support Mongolian dictionary, Vietnamese dictionary, Turkish dictionary and Spanish dictionary. I expect to see the more languages such as Arabic, Norwegian, Swedish and Finnish would be added. To have an electronic dictionary was a great dream when I was in middle school. Such dream was beautifully achieved by NAVER's language service.

The most inspirational service of NAVER is ASK service called JISIK-IN. In this special posting place, user can post any questions and the people who have either casual knowledge or professional knowledge to the question, can answer to the question. And this system greatly stimulates the sharing of useful information and makes collective intelligence made by a great number of people. Sometimes, I could get quite valuable information for the topics I want to know. The NAVER's service in which I spent most money, is online Movie streaming service. I purchased 30s of movies for download or watching online in the portal's website. But if the movie file is moved to other media, it cannot be played. It is great problem, but I enjoyed this service much. It was one of the most advanced entertainment business which enables people to purchase movies easily and in a lower price, as well as protects intellectual properties of movies. Another entertainment service by NAVER is an online game service called HANGAME. I sometimes enjoyed TETRIS with other online gamers and also I purchased special coupon to extend the daily time limit of free gaming of TETRIS. It was quite interesting experiences, even though I came to rarely do this game service recently for I am very busy recently.

Finally BLOG, about 5 years ago, I did much posting for news articles in my BLOG every day. But I quit it. Recently when I did searching in NAVER, many useful and interesting information was found in other people's blog in NAVER. 

And NAVER's membership information is very easy to understand and manage each items, saving time to find how to access needed information.

The most unfortunate thing is that NAVER is available only in Korean. Recently it started service in Japanese. If I have more time, I would like to remind my memory with NAVER.

God gave today a special word for NAVER. God said, NAVER provides precious service, something like sapphire stone shown in the firmament, having the appearance of the likeness of the throne of God. 

I expected to see further advanced technology and service to speed up the development of human mind, and to save costs by sharing information, and to enhance the ideology and system of the world, from NAVER's service.

[REVIEW] World's largest FPSO - HYUNDAI HEAVY INDUSTRIES

FPSO stands for Floating Production Storage and Offloading. It is special vessel which can refine a the crude oil pumped out from Offshore plant or drill ship, and store the refined products to transfer to shuttle tank or other place. It is essential facility for oil company to develop deep sea oilfield. 

In Feb 2010, Hyundai Heavy Industries (HHI) became the supplier of the world's largest FPSO plant which costs $1.1 billion, from the Norwegian oil company ENI Norge AS. This FPSO went into construction from Nov 2011, and is expected to be installed at Goliat Field which is at 85 km Northwest from Hammerfest, Norway by the end of 2013.

This 'GOLIAT FPSO' requires cutting-edge technology for highly difficult construction procedures to built cylinder-shaped vessel to endure cold weather and strong tides of Arctic Sea.

The diameter of this Goliat FPSO is 112 meter, and the height is 75 meter. The vessel weight reaches to 52,000 tons. The FPSO can produce and refine 100,000 barrels of crude oil, and 4,000,000 m³ of Liquid Natural Gas, as well as store 1,000,000 barrels of crude oil, which is the half amount of daily consumption of Korea.

HHI has supplied FPSO to Brazil Petrobras in 1996, France Total, US Exxon Mobile and BP of UK. And every year, FPSOs has been built and delivered to the world. HHI has 60% of share in Super-size FPSO which can store more than 2,000,000 barrel of crude oil.

[REVIEW] ASIC GEL KINSEI 5

When I was young, I chose low-cost running shoes because I did not have much money. And I could not get enough information about what kind of differences does the major sport shoe vendor provides.

As the internet shopping started to share the product features and characteristics from around 2002, I came to get more information about vendor and its appealing points.

Until I started regular running in gyms and inside of my room gym later, I could not have chance to think about what makes difference to reduce pains and stress in body when I run for 30 minutes or 40 minutes in running machines. Especially I experienced quite mustle pain on leg and back when I just started running. Also great pain and stress were caused in my toe and on the sole of foot.

Because someone says this one is better and the other one says that one is better in the blog and product review, the only way to know which vendor and running shoes is best for my running was to purchase the products and compare the feeling and characteristics.

And I am interested in seeing the future technology to make people to enjoy running and spend more time in sports activity.
